The conducted research and established goals seem to be justified and still relevant, as the studies presented in the above doctoral dissertation showed that the occurrence of temporomandibular disorders in young adults concerned 26.64% of all examined individuals. Moreover, subsequent clinical studies and analysis of the investigated group regarding the occurrence of temporomandibular disorders based on diagnoses from axis I of the RDC/TMD questionnaire revealed a prevalence of temporomandibular disorders in 37.36% of the subjects. The research based on the standardized RDC/TMD questionnaire by students of dentistry in patient examinations showed a high concordance with the results achieved by specialist in prosthetics dentistry using the RDC/TMD tool, which seems promising as}, abstract={a diagnostic tool in everyday dental practice.
