Praca doktorska
The aim of the study was: (1) to determine the influence of acenocoumarol, a vitamin K antagonist, on the development of experimental acute pancreatitis evoked by primary vascular and non–vascular factor; (2) to evaluate the therapeutic effect of acenocoumarol in the course of acute pancreatitis. Acute pancreatitis was induced in Wistar rats by severe pancreatic ischemia followed by reperfusion (vascular model of acute pancreatitis) or by intraperitoneal administration of cerulein (non-vascular model of acute pancreatitis). The study has shown that: (1) Pretreatment with low doses of acenocoumarol exhibits universal protective effect in the pancreas and inhibits the development of acute pancreatitis evoked by primary vascular and non-vascular factors; (2) Administration of acenocoumarol after induction of acute pancreatitis reduces severity of acute ischemia/reperfusion-induced pancreatitis and accelerates recovery in this disease.
