Praca doktorska
This doctoral dissertation entitled: “Impact of warfarin administration on development and course of experimental cerulein - induced acute pancreatitis.” was compiled as monograph based on the experiments performed on a rat model of acute pancreatitis. The impact of warfarin administration on the functional and biochemical parameters as well as morphorogical picture of the pancreas in the course of acute pancreatitis (AP). The first experiment aimed to check the impact of warfarin administration on development of cerulein – induced acute pacnreatitis. The results indicate that pretreatment with warfarin inhibits the development of cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis (AP) and that action aimed at modifying the activity of coagulation system in the course of AP may contribute to significant in therapy in this disease. The other experiment assessed the impact of warfarin administration on the course of cerulein induced acute pacnreatitis and postinflammatory regeneration of the pancreas. It was proofed, that warfarin exhibits therapeutic effect in cerulein-induced acute pancreatitis in rats, decrease the severity of the inflammatory changes in the pancreas and improves postinflammatory regeneration of the organ, though has narrow therapeutic window.
